Who This Guide Is For
- Students finishing a Russian Language Course or Preparatory Programme at any Belarusian university
- Students wishing to enrol in the Artificial Intelligence or Cybersecurity Bachelor's programme at BSUIR
Your Exit Visa
You will receive a 2-week exit visa from your current university as you are transferring to a different institution. BSUIR's fast processing means most students only need 1 exit visa, occasionally 2.
Getting Your Documents Back
Request your exit list from your current university approximately 2 weeks before the end of your programme. Collect all signatures and retrieve all originals before leaving.
Documents to retrieve:
- Notarised passport translation (original)
- Study certificate from current university (original)
- Medical examination results (original)
- Medical insurance documents (original)
- School leaving certificate / O-level / A-level (original)
- Any other originals held by the university
BSUIR does not always mandate legalisation of school certificates, but we strongly recommend having your documents legalised. Any university can request it at their discretion.
If translations are missing, each costs approximately $25 through the inBelarus partner network.
Step-by-Step Process
Request exit list and collect all signatures
About 2 weeks before your programme ends, request your exit list and begin collecting signatures. Settle all outstanding balances at your current university.
Retrieve documents and pass to your agent
Collect all originals and give them to your agent for review. Complete any BSUIR application forms your agent provides.
Obtain exit visa from current university
About 1 week before your current visa expires, obtain the 2-week exit visa. Have the exit visa fee (~$100) and hostel upfront (~$40–50 for 2 weeks) ready.
Visit BSUIR with your agent
Your agent will take you to BSUIR, submit your documents, and get you a temporary campus pass. Pay all fees due on your last day (tuition instalment, platform fee).
Pay remaining fees and await processing
Pay the hostel prepayment within 5 days, and the visa extension and insurance within 2 weeks. BSUIR typically processes enrollments in 2–3 weeks.
Receive your new TRP as a BSUIR student
Once processing is complete, you receive your TRP. From this point you extend your visa annually as a BSUIR student.
