TRP Expiry 2026: What Preparatory Department Students Must Do Before June 30

Your Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) expires on June 30, 2026. You must take action before mid-June. Read this guide and follow the steps that apply to your situation.

This guide is for Year 1 and Year 2 students of the Preparatory Department for academic years 2025–2026 and 2026–2027. Whether you are completing your studies or continuing to a degree programme, you must act before mid-June 2026 to avoid legal complications.

Which Situation Applies to You?

CASE A

Leaving the Country

You are completing your studies and will not be continuing to a degree programme.

CASE B

Continuing to a Degree / Master's

You are applying to a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme after the preparatory department.

Case A — Leaving the Country

1

Apply for an Exit Visa

Visit the office to apply for an Exit Visa. This visa is valid for 2 weeks and allows you to leave the country.

Cost: 270 BYN (~$100 USD)

2

Bring Proof of Travel

You must provide your tickets back home to the office so they can process the visa application on your behalf.

3

Deadline to Leave

You must leave the country within 2 weeks of the department closing date (June 30, 2026). Plan accordingly.

Do not overstay your Temporary Residence Permit. Failure to obtain an exit visa before the permit expires may result in legal complications.
