BSTU (Belarusian State Technological University) is Belarus's leading university for chemical, technological, and environmental engineering programmes. Transferring to BSTU is similar in complexity and cost to BNTU, with a 3–4 week processing time and typically 2 exit visas.

Your Exit Visa
Because you are transferring to a different university, your exit visa is 2 weeks. BSTU processing takes 3–4 weeks, so expect to need a 1-month exit visa extension.
Getting Your Documents Back
Request your exit list from your current university approximately 2 weeks before the end of your programme. Collect all signatures and retrieve all originals.
Documents to retrieve:
- Notarised passport translation (original)
- Study certificate from current university (original)
- Medical examination results (original)
- Medical insurance documents (original)
- School leaving certificate / O-level / A-level (original)
- Any other originals held by the university
We strongly recommend legalising all academic documents even if BSTU does not always require it.

Step-by-Step Process
Request exit list and collect all signatures
About 2 weeks before your programme ends, request your exit list. Collect all signatures and settle all balances at your current university.
Retrieve documents and pass to your agent
Collect all originals and hand them to your agent for review. Fill in BSTU application forms as directed by your agent.
Obtain exit visa from current university
About 1 week before your current visa expires, obtain the 2-week exit visa. Have the exit visa fee (~$100) and hostel upfront (~$40–50) ready.
Visit BSTU with your agent
Your agent will take you to BSTU, submit your documents, and obtain a temporary campus pass. Pay fees due on or before your last day (tuition, university services, admin fee, platform fee).
Pay remaining fees and await processing
Pay hostel prepayment within 5 days. Pay visa extension and insurance within 2 weeks. Budget for a likely exit visa extension if processing takes 3–4 weeks.
Receive your TRP as a BSTU student
Once BSTU processing is complete, you receive your TRP. Renew annually going forward.

3–4 weeks at BSTU, similar to BNTU. All BSTU Bachelor's programmes are equally priced at $5,100/year.
How many exit visas to expect
2 exit visas in most cases — same as BNTU. The initial 2-week exit visa from your current university, plus a 1-month extension at BSTU while processing completes.
Important Notes
BSTU charges both an administration fee ($105, one-time) and on-arrival university services (up to $100). Budget approximately $200–205 for these combined.
ANNUAL MEDICAL CHECKUP: If you have been in Belarus for more than 11 months since arrival, BSTU will require the annual medical examination (~$100).
